David Brody
Founder/Board Member

Founded AVX in 2005


Founded AVX in 2005. Former Chairman and CEO of the company. Attorney with the international law firm of Hogan Lovells US LLP, focusing on complex domestic and international commercial transactions. Has served as in-house counsel and held senior management positions in private, early-stage, and publicly-traded companies. Inventor and author of three books.

Scott Pomeroy
Vice Chairman

Joined AVX Board in 2009


Mr. Pomeroy has held leadership positions in diverse industries, including chief financial officer for Eotec Capital, CEO of Local Insight Media and president and chief operating officer of Lewis Food Groups. He is currently CEO of Yellow Pages Group New Zealand, and on the Board of Directors of the company's parent (an international banking syndicate), which is one of the largest companies in New Zealand.

Troy Gaffey
Chairman & CEO

Joined AVX in 2006


Mr. Gaffey was formerly Chief Engineer and Senior Vice President of Research and Engineering at Bell Helicopter and is one of the most experienced executives and aeronautical engineers in the aircraft industry. He has been instrumental in the design and development of numerous civilian and military helicopters, and has extensive expertise in the areas of Project Management, Tiltrotor Design/Technology, Rotorcraft Aeromechanics, and Test and Evaluation.

Kendall Goodman
Chief Operating Officer

Joined AVX in 2017

Mr. Goodman was with Bell Helicopter for 23 years prior to joining AVX.  He held a wide range of positions in Research and Development.  At the time of his departure from Bell, he led the Advanced Tiltrotor Systems aircraft concept design team.  His team was responsible for developing next generation manned and unmanned tiltrotor design concepts.  He also held the position of Technical Fellow for Survivability.

Don Taylor
Chief Financial Officer/Board Member

Joined AVX in 2010

Mr. Taylor was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bell Helicopter Textron. Over a period of 28 years Mr. Taylor held numerous finance and business management positions and had overall responsibility for Finance, USG and Commercial Contracts Administration and Information Technology. Mr. Taylor also served on the Textron Finance Council and the Board of Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company.

Frank King
Senior Vice President of Business Development

Joined AVX in 2009

Former Bell Helicopter Textron Senior Executive Director with 35 years experience in helicopter program management and marketing. Mr. King has extensive commercial and military rotorcraft marketing experience on a global scale.

Mike Cox
Director of Communications
and Media

Joined AVX in 2010

Mr. Cox recently served as Vice President of Communications for Bell Helicopter Textron. Prior to Bell, Mike was the Director of Public Affairs for the Air Mobility Command in the U.S. Air Force where he had global responsibility for all public and press relations involving AMC assets. He retired as a Colonel after 26 years of service.

Alan Myers
Chief Engineer, JMR Program

Joined AVX in 2013

Former Deputy Chief of Test for the CH-53K helicopter at Sikorsky Aircraft. Former Technical Director for the H-1 Upgrades Program and Chief Engineer of the Model 430 Development Program at Bell Helicopter. Extensive experience in leading the design and flight tests of new helicopters including the Bell Model 412, the OH-58D, and numerous other prototype helicopter configurations.

Stan Messinger
TERN Propulsion System Program Manager

Joined AVX in 2012

Mr. Messinger has 33+ years in Aerospace and has held senior leadership roles at Bell Helicopter in Engineering, Operations Management, Supplier Management and Program Management.  He has extensive experience in the design and fabrication of complex composite components.

Jim Lindsey
Manager, Test/Evaluation

Joined AVX in 2013

Formerly served at Bell Helicopter for 18 years. Held positions Chief Tiltrotor Test Pilot, Principle Experimental Test Pilot for the BA-609 program and Chief Pilot of Bell Helicopter. Served as Project Pilot on NASA Large Civil Tiltrotor simulation project. A retired USMC Aviator, he has over 4800 total flying hours in fixed wing, rotary wing and tiltrotor aircraft.


Jennifer Reinhard
Office Manager

Joined AVX in 2010

Jennifer graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts from Southern Virginia University in 2007. She joined AVX in 2010 and holds the positions of Office Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO).
